So it is half term, which we are all delighted about. Wednesday is usually a work day for me but I get so excited when it comes to school holidays. I usually always book one of my 2 working days off (honestly, I need to start being a bit more sensible as, come the summer holidays, I will have no annual leave left!!). So I am off on Wednesday, this is also a nursery day for Harri and, whilst I do feel a little mean putting Harri into nursery when I’m not in work and I know she would much rather be with me, I feel that Meme is definitely due some one on one Mummy time.
So I asked a very excited Meme what she would like to do and her response was to buy some books to read and have a milkshake. Oh how my heart sang, after a rough start to reading she is now starting to enjoy it and I am more than happy to help encourage her to read more. So that was the plan. after dropping Harri off at nursery me and Meme headed to Liverpool for a little bit of retail therapy.
We had such a lovely day pottering around together choosing some books and looking in the shops, chattering as we walked. It was so nice spending some time with my big girl, she is just a pleasure to be with and I do miss her so much now she’s at school. I suppose it makes these days we do have together even more special.

Oh that’s so nice that you get to spend some time together. My eldest will start reception in September and I know I will really miss this time. We usually have little outings to the local coffee shop together when her little brother is at the childminders. So nice to have this quality time! #mycapturedmoment

Ahh such a lovely way to spend the day. I get very excited at holidays too and always end up booking things all over the place. Books and a nice shake sound perfect though 🙂
