April was quite a nice month, we had the 2 week Easter holidays, plenty of play dates and also a little bit of sunshine. I’m not sure what’s going on with me this year but I have been definitely struggling with the lack of sunshine.
Here is what I have been loving this April.
Beauty
I have been loving my new skin care routine – my skin feels amazing. I have also been making some changes with my make up. I wont lie, I am a little bit of a make up snob with my foundation ranging from Dior, Mac, Benefit, Clarins and, most recently, Nars and, although I love it, it is so expensive and I seem to go through it really fast. My friend suggested using Maybelline dream satin liquid and, although I was a little dubious, I gave it a try – it cost me £6 (it was on offer) and I love it!
I have also been trying to get the Kylie Jenner lip kit although it sells out as soon as more are released!
Fashion
With the arrival of the tiniest bit of sun I have dug out my Spring mac. I bought it years ago when I was pregnant with Meme but have never really worn it much – really liking it at the moment though. The girls have also had their Spring coats on which are beautiful.
We have bought Harri some much needed shoes for the Summer which she calls her doggy shoes – she loves them.
I have also purchased some new Converse in white – I know, I must be crazy getting white.
Home
We have almost finished our study, we still need a few prints but we are getting there. A little post will be coming soon.
We have also been looking for some garden furniture – we have this year sacrificed a holiday abroad (sob!) so we can get our garden done. Fingers crossed we have a nice summer!
Food
Not much to say on this front, I lost my inspiration with food a few months back and I am still struggling with it. My sister made the chicken pie from the Joe Wicks Lean in 15 book, which she said was delicious so I may give that a try. I definitely need to get reading some cookbooks for some ideas.
So that’s all for April, I am hoping May brings us a bit more sunshine and, of course, there are the bank holidays and the half term – sounds perfect!
