A little May round up

A little May round up

I feel like I am writing these monthly round up posts more and more often, the months are just flying by, it is crazy. We are now 6 months into the year, half way through!!

May was a nice month –  me and my husband celebrated 6 years of marriage, we have had 2 lovely bank holidays, we have finally had some sunshine and we are currently in the midst of a half term.

Beauty

I  haven’t made any new purchases this month  – I am still enjoying my skincare routine.

When I was younger I was a big self tan fan – using St Tropez and Fake Bake on a regular occasion (in fact I probably went a little far with it I think – I was glowing for most of my twenties!).  However, since having the girls I have lost my way on the tanning front – I decided to try an instant tan a couple of weeks ago (for a night out). I bought St Moriz and I was pleasantly surprised (especially with the price) although I’m not the greatest at applying it!

Fashion

It has been so nice to not have to worry about wearing a coat. I have been wearing some new Sandals which I bought from Primark, which I love.

I also had a date night with my Hubbie so It was nice to get dressed up – I wore a dress from H&M and my leather jacket. It was nice to get out of my skinny jeans.

Home

My poor home has been abandoned a little of late. I have been wanting to write a little bit about my home for a while and finally got around to writing one a few weeks ago but have not had a chance to follow it up. My whole house needs a good sort out which I’m hoping to get around to at some point soon.

We have been getting our garden sorted out ready for summer – we have purchased some garden furniture and have had an Indian stone patio installed which we love. With the nice weather we have had we have spent many weekend mornings doing puzzles together on our new table.

Food

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know I am not great at taking pictures of food – I’m too busy eating it. We have had a few lovely meals. Including one at The Shankly Hotel which was delicious.

We have also had plenty of picnics in the sunshine and not forgetting a cheeky dominoes one sunny Monday evening.

So overall a nice month – June is going to be busy with Harri’s birthday, a weekend away, a wedding and some appointments ahead of us.

Did you have a nice month? I’d love to hear about it.

  1. I absolutely love love love the picture of your girls at the start of this post. Our house also really needs a sort out – living somewhere for a few years usually builds up a lot of clutter, in fact we hired storage for the clutter while we continue to go through it! Hope you have a great June x

  2. Aww this is a lovely May round up – I haven’t started this kind of blog series yet but I imagine if I did I would be struggling to believe just how quickly the months go. Thanks for the tip on St Moriz – haven’t tried that one but it’s nice to apply a little before the sunshine! Also, can I just say that photo of you is gorgeous – who’d have thought you were mummy to two?! May has been a full on exam month for us as one daughter had her AS levels and my other two have big exams next week – so looking forward to when they are over so that we can start to relax and enjoy life a little more. #BloggerClubUK

  3. It’s a nice thing that you do, to have a round-up. It makes you think back over all the things you did and what you have achieved.
To be honest, I can’t remember what I did in May. I have a toddler and a 4 month old baby. She still wakes a couple of times at night and most of the time I am so tired my days just become a blur. We did have some lovely days though, which I have spent with the kids in the park. It’s nice to be out all day!

  4. You’ve just reminded me I need some new shoes. I like the ones you are wearing but I think I’d break my ankle! #sharewithme

  5. What a lovely round up. I’ve never managed the whole fake tan thing – not enough time to concentrate I think I – I’d no doubt do one leg and get distracted lol. Thanks for linking up to #sharewithme hope to see you again

  6. I’m so glad you enjoyed the lovely sunny weather! We did too! It’s lovely to have a take out & just enjoy the day. Thanks so much for linking up with us at #BloggerClubUK
